Commander of the Air Force of Britain died while taking part in competitions in triathlon


British Air Marshal Sir Christopher Moran, who was the second person in the Royal Air Force, died on Wednesday, May 26, while participating in a triathlon competition.
According to preliminary data, the Moran suffered a heart attack. Despite the fact that he was promptly sent to the hospital to save him failed, reported the British media.
Charity triathlon competitions were held in the Royal Air Force Brize Norton in Oxfordshire. 54-year-old Moran, along with other military had to swim 400 meters in the pool, drive 22 km on the bike, and run five miles.
Christopher Moran participated in the Falklands War as a commander of flight. Later he became the squadron commander NATO Germany. In 2003 he participated in the planning of military operations in Iraq, and in 2007 - became deputy commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan. In April 2009, the marshal was appointed Air Force Chief of Britain. In Moran survived by his wife, two daughters and son.
