Russia supported the agreement on exchange of uranium between Brazil and Iran


The implementation of the Tehran agreement between Brazil, Turkey and Iran, the exchange of low-enriched (3.5%) of uranium enriched to 20% promotes the peaceful settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue.
Said on Thursday, May 27, Minister of Foreign Affairs Lavrov.
"The scheme in the interest of peaceful settlement of Iranian nuclear program, so we believe that we must do all that it has been realized," said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
This Lavrov noted that a lot will depend on how the Iranian side will approach its obligations. "If she will strictly follow them, then Russia will actively support the implementation of the proposed scheme of Brazil and Turkey," - said the Minister.
Recall May 26, Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called unacceptable support new sanctions Russia UN towards his country and called on President Dmitry Medvedev tack.
The U.S. insists on imposing further sanctions despite the fact that on May 17 Iran signed Agreement with Brazil and Turkey, according to which Tehran is available low-grade (up to 3,5%) Uranium exchanged in Turkey on highly enriched (up to 20%) fuel for the Tehran research reactor.
May 18 diplomats from the United States, China, Russia, Britain, France and Germany agreed draft resolution on Iran's nuclear program, which would put a ban on selling weapons to Iran, as well as limit the activities of Iranian companies involved in nuclear technology.
