Russia wants to build with Ukraine model airplanes of the future

Russia and Ukraine, developing cooperation in aircraft construction, should work to create a fundamentally new and modern aircraft models, said President Dmitry Medvedev.

"We should go to the most advanced technological solutions. We have a desire to continue work on the entire line of aviation products, which can be jointly developed by Antonov and United Aircraft Corporation - AN-140 AN-148, in the perspective of An-70 and AN-124. But that should not stop "-" Medvedev said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Yanukovych.

According to him, "you need to create new products, digital models of aircraft and ships. "Only in this case, we can go with these models, the Ukrainian market, the Russian market, the European market", - Putin said.

He stressed that all of these areas are preparing specific agreements. "I hope that soon we will be able to go to the signing of specific agreements on co-operation on all the most important industrial sectors of our economy" - said Medvedev.


President of Russia stressed that such cooperation "should be totally pragmatic, excluding any philanthropy and unilateral decisions."

At that Viktor Yanukovych stressed that the market entry of third countries should not piece and series production aircraft. "This means that together we will earn more than if we had fought alone in the world markets", - he said.
