Moldovan Constitutional Court declared illegal a decree of the Soviet occupation of the Day


Constitutional Court of Moldova on Monday, July 12, the decree declared unconstitutional Acting president Michael Himpu declare June 28 the Day of Soviet occupation.
"Acting President of Moldova Himpu tried to interpret the motives of historical standards through the prism of law" - said Dmitry Pulbere CC Chairman.

Final decision of the Constitutional Court and not subject to appeal, it shall take effect from the date of adoption.

Hipmu himself was at a meeting of the court, where gave his explanation of the decree signed by him.

Recall, June 24 Acting President of Moldova Himpu unveiled a decree to set June 28 Day of Soviet occupation. The same decree Himpu ordered a nationwide June 28 appropriate commemorative events, and initiate the installation procedure for the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau, in front of the government, the monument to victims of Soviet occupation and totalitarian communist regime.

In response to RF said that Moscow considers the decree, Moldova as part of planned political campaign against the Moldovan-Russian partnership.

Japanese opposition gained a majority in parliamentary elections


In the elections to the upper chamber of the Japanese government opposition secured a majority, illustrated counting.


As the broadcasting company NHK, the opposition will get 122 parliamentary mandate. Having obtained a majority in the Upper House, the opposition could block bills adopted at the initiative of the ruling coalition. 

In turn, Prime Minister of Japan, Naoto Kan said its surroundings, that will not leave the post and continue the policies of reform regardless of the outcome of today's elections. 

Elders House elections held every three years, subject to re-half of 242 deputies of the Chamber. They are elected for six years. By 121 a parliamentary mandate for the current election fought 437 candidates.
