Japanese opposition gained a majority in parliamentary elections

In the elections to the upper chamber of the Japanese government opposition secured a majority, illustrated counting.


As the broadcasting company NHK, the opposition will get 122 parliamentary mandate. Having obtained a majority in the Upper House, the opposition could block bills adopted at the initiative of the ruling coalition. 

In turn, Prime Minister of Japan, Naoto Kan said its surroundings, that will not leave the post and continue the policies of reform regardless of the outcome of today's elections. 

Elders House elections held every three years, subject to re-half of 242 deputies of the Chamber. They are elected for six years. By 121 a parliamentary mandate for the current election fought 437 candidates.
